How can a company with almost 100 years of history keep innovating? Our CEO, Markus Eicher, set out to find Elex’s hidden gem and make the company even stronger. For nearly a century, we have been known for electrical extraction – a technology that helps major industrial clients such as cement plants, biomass power plants, and steel mills reduce their emissions. But we wanted to go even further.
This is where the KMU und Innovation program of the Canton of Zurich came in. Innovation expert Marco Romanelli helped us identify new opportunities to drive innovation. In an initial assessment, we explored ideas and developed the first possible solutions. It quickly became clear: There was great potential waiting to be unlocked! The next step was to find the right research partner – a decision that would shape the future of our company.
